Compliance Officer – Argentina

Your mission

LaFinteca is looking for a Compliance Officer based in Argentina to support the growth of a crypto project in the region. This is a unique opportunity to lead compliance efforts for a regulated Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) and work closely with regulators.

•  Implement applicable regulations for the VASP framework to ensure full regulatory compliance across the company’s operations. Design, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls aligned with CNV and UIF requirements.
•  Serve as the appointed Compliance Officer with CNV and UIF, acting as the main point of contact for all regulatory matters.
•  Monitor Anti-Money Laundering processes, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Know Your Business (KYB) procedures to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across local crypto operations.
•  Work closely with the corporate compliance team while independently managing local compliance activities.
•  Prepare compliance reports, maintain records, and support internal and external audits.

Your profile

• +5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within crypto or fintech entities.
• Experience with PSP businesses, including registering entities with the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA), is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CNV, UIF, and BCRA regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the compliance programme.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate compliance risks and propose solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
